We are Mike and Angela Ballard, and we’re traveling the world to find our next place to live. We’re currently in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, but we’d like to move to another country in a couple of years.
We’ve visited more than 100 countries so far and are in the process of ranking them based on our needs and preferences. Some are excellent possibilities, and others are just great places to visit on vacation.
Mike is the tech guy, and he loves to shoot photos and video on land, under water, and in the air. Angela is the bargain shopper, and she’s always on the lookout for cheap flights, good deals, and ways to save money while traveling.
Both Ballards love exploring new places and meeting locals around the world. It’s a travel marriage made in heaven! We invite you to join us in a life of adventure, one country at a time.
Thailand. Try Thailand. Phuket would get my vote, but Chiang Mai is nice, too. There is good cheap healthcare, you’re close to lots of other cool places, the cost of living is reasonable, the food is fabulous, and it’s beautiful!

Every time I travel, I decide I want to move there…except for India! And my sister-in-law, Angela Ballard…she’s married to a Mike too!
Why not India, Emily? We loved our visit to Mumbai but didn’t get to see enough of the city or country to get a feel for moving there.
