My love of history began with the struggle between Rome and Carthage over dominance of the Mediterranean. Today, I walked in the footprints of Hannibal.
We crossed the land border from the Spanish exclave of Melilla to the less-visited eastern side of Morocco and found a very different part of the country.
Thus begins the second phase to our trip around the world — on a beautiful island with an amazing host, and a few unexpected twists.
