Post-Quarantine Updates for Domestic and International Travel

We Married Adventure talked with Ashley Larsen of Morning Beats on The Family Channel and The Heartland Network about what’s happening with travel these days. Countries are beginning to lift COVID-19 travel bans and reopen to vaccinated travelers, and information is changing on a daily basis.

Watch the full television segment at the end of this post and check out some of our best resources for staying on top of post-quarantine travel requirements and news:

Google Travel: Google is always a great place to begin your travel research, and their new travel dashboard makes it even easier to find the latest details regarding specific destinations. Just type in a location, such as a country, and you’ll find everything you need to know about current regulations.

CDC Travel Guidelines: For Americans planning trips either domestically or internationally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers their latest guidelines for safe travel. They provide specific information for families traveling with children, some of whom are not yet eligible for vaccination.

Car-Sharing Sites: If you’re having a hard time finding an affordable rental car for your vacation, consider using a car-sharing website. Much like Airbnb or Vrbo do for accommodations, sites like turo.com allow you to book everything from a sedan to an SUV to a sports car that belongs to a local resident at your destination. It can be a much cheaper alternative to traditional car rental companies during the current rental shortage in the United States and abroad.
