Next month we will embark on an extended adventure around the world. We’ll visit more than 60 countries on four continents, and it will be our fourth circumnavigation of the globe.
To say we’re excited is quite the understatement!
We visited with our friends on ABC-TV’s The Daily Refresh to talk about the trip. Click to watch the interview, then read on to learn more about where we’re visiting and the locations from which we’ll be reporting along the way.

We’ll be reporting on television from these locations during our adventures:
- Fiji — This island in Oceania is more than just the bottled water for which it’s become famous. We’ll visit beautiful beaches, dive with sharks and whales, tour lush tropical forests, and explore the country’s rich cultural heritage.
- Bangkok, Thailand — Join us for the Extraordinary Travel Festival, where we’ll interview some of the world’s best traveled people and share their pro tips for successful trips.
- Jeju Island, South Korea — As one of the Seven Wonders of Nature, Jeju Island is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and Biosphere Reserve that’s often called “the Hawaii of Korea.” We’ll see stunning waterfalls, colorful floral fields, and the famous Manjanggul Cave, one of the world’s longest lava tubes.
- Table Mountain, South Africa — Another of the Seven Wonders of Nature, we’ll ride the cable car up from Cape Town to visit this astonishing site that’s home to diverse wildlife, including the rock hyrax and a rare species of frog aptly named the Table Mountain Ghost Frog.
- Accra, Ghana — The African country’s capital is the newest Sister City to Chattanooga, Tennessee. We’ll pay our respects at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park honoring Ghana’s first president, visit the former slave castle, and learn how this now-vibrant city has turned its traumatic colonial past into inspiration for a powerful future.
- Djibouti — More than 492 ft (150 m) below sea level, Lake Assal is a crater lake in Djibouti’s Danakil Desert, where dormant volcanoes and black lava fields back the emerald water. It’s the lowest point in Africa and the third-lowest point on Earth after the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea.
- Journey from South Africa to Finland — We’re traveling more than 12,000 miles over land and sea from southernmost Africa to northernmost Europe … without taking a single flight!
In addition to these monthly television stories, we’ll be posting regularly here at wemarriedadventure.com and sharing photos and videos on our Instagram and Facebook.
