A year ago my father and I took our annual father/daughter trip, this time to California. Los Angeles had everything the two of us enjoy on these adventures: fast cars, flowers, food, and family.
A three week winter road trip took us from Route 66 to Canada as we explored the national parks of the Pacific Northwest.
Angela's parents, brother, and sister-in-law took a cruise to Alaska back in August of 2019, and they wanted to participate in the Postcards to Wanda project. I know it's long overdue, but nostalgic travel is all we have these days.
We're excited to share the first piece we've written for Lonely Planet, which also features one of Mike's underwater photos. Check it out and let us know what you think!
Around the World in Review, Leg 13: Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Hawaii
It has been a wonderful year of travel, shared at every opportunity with postcards sent to Wanda. Here is the final (at least for now) installment of Postcards to Wanda!
On our way from New Zealand to Argentina in preparation for our Antarctic voyage, we planned a very special stopover in Honolulu, Hawaii.
We stopped in Hawaii for a few days so we could visit with our older son, Zack, and his wife, Autumn. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Hawaii is beautiful!
The WWII sites in northern France evoke some strong feelings, especially for a history teacher and world traveler.
As we embark on our adventure around the world, we would be remiss if we didn't share our favorite things about our current hometown: Chattanooga, Tennessee.
