Final-Leg04

Angela and I arrived in Riga, Latvia, and immediately set out on a grueling 18-hour road trip so we could see a portion of both Estonia and Lithuania as well. As it turns out, we need not have rushed so much to visit Estonia since visa issues arose while we were in Saint Petersburg, Russia, causing us to forego a trip to Moscow and fly to Tallinn, Estonia, instead.

From Tallinn, we skipped back through Riga before continuing on to Minsk, Belarus, and a whirlwind 48 hours in Kiev, Ukraine.

We caught our collective breath and found time for romance with an extended stay in Krakow, Poland, and flew on to Bucharest, Romania, via a long layover in Athens, Greece. A driving tour of the Romanian countryside was both delightful and surprising, and it allowed us to complete a short tour of Moldova as well.
